Heroic Fates: Complete (5e)
A downloadable tabletop supplement
A fortune-teller is in town, you note as you walk through the local festival. The smell of the aromatic incense draws you close as you feel the pull of a force greater than yourself drag you to the entrance to the fortune-teller's wagon. Maybe they will have the answers I seek you think to yourself as you push aside the lush violet curtains and step into the wagon.
Heroic Fates are a new mechanic that allows you, the player, and your GM to plot out a general progression path for your character narratively. Whether destined to do a great deed or suffering from a curse, Heroic Fates provide a new series of penalties and bonuses that develop into unique abilities as you overcome your fate.
Now coming as a complete set with Heroic Fates: Ascendancy and Heroic Fates: Spirits!

I greatly dislike 5e but these mechanics are so fun and interesting I am genuinely considering running it with these anyways
Thank you very much! I have considered making a Pathfinder (among other systems) compatible version if there was a market for it, so that may come in the future.
sounds great! I actually considered making some pf1e variants of these myself
I would love to see what you come up with! I am very happy to work on a conversion, maybe even a system neutral version eventually.
